Bosch's City
Anyone familiar with Los Angeles or mystery novels knows Hieronymus Bosch, Dutch painter of the 15th and 16th centuries(one of his paintings is pictured at the left), but also an LAPD detective in a series of books by Michael Connelly. Los Angeles-centric modern noir stories, his website has a section of pictures of LA Landmarks, many of them quite old, along with the corresponding quotes from his books.
